Fitters and Assembler

STT (Aylesbury) seek one person to join the Production Team.


Assembling heat exchanger units from pre-manufactured parts, you will need to be able to read engineering drawings, operate fixed and hand-held machinery and have an eye for detail.


Previous experience within an engineering environment would be preferable.

Design Engineer

STT requires a Design Engineer to carry out 3D CAD modelling and to produce manufacturing drawings. Candidates would be expected to work either within the site at Aylesbury or Birmingham.


Applicants should have experience in working with Heat Exchangers, or be from a fabrication or Pressure Vessel environment.


Day to day duties include:

  • To generate and compile drawings using SolidWorks 2017.
  • To compile the necessary bills of material.
  • To check drawings and to ensure, in conjunction with the Drawing Office Manager, that designs produced are both accurate and cost effective.
  • To liaise with other relevant disciplines within the company to ensure requirements are met, that work is completed to the scheduled target dates and within the agreed budget

Applicants should have extensive experience in the use of SolidWorks (current or recent versions), for the creation of 3D models and 2D engineering drawings. Candidates with knowledge of other 3D Cad software may also be considered. Experience using an MRP system would be an advantage.

Tool Maker

STT seek an additional person to work within our Production Team in Water Orton.


This candidate will report to the Elfin Team Leader and will be required to:

  • Make and maintain press tools and tooling
  • Make and maintain finning tools and tooling
  • Design and develop any new tools required by providing drawings and supporting documentation outlining all the size and material required for each component.

You may be required to work on either site and outside the United Kingdom from time to time as agreed.

CNC Setter / Operator & Conventional Machinist

STT seek an additional person to work within our Production Team in Water Orton.
STT are looking for a proactive individual to work within the Production environment.

The candidate will be part of our Machining Department and will be expected to carry out:

  • The setting & operating of Vertical Machining Centres & CNC drills.
  • Conventional machining on Centre Lathes & Vertical Borers.
  • The manufacture of bespoke components – working to our drawings and quality standards.

Day-to-day duties include:

  • To work in accordance with the in house ISO 9001 QA system.
  • To work with various materials including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Non Ferrous and other Exotic metals using a wide range of cutting tools.
  • To work as part of the Machine Shop team.
  • To work to our QA system. This will include checking work and completing the relevant quality documents.
  • To carry out general duties when required.
  • To maintain a safe & clean working environment.
