We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work within the Operations Department as an Industrial Painter.

The role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter with experience in applying 2-pack (two-component) paint systems. The successful candidate will join our production team to support high-quality finishing of manufactured components, ensuring durability and compliance with industry standards.

Who you will interact with

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
  • Apply 2-pack epoxy and polyurethane coatings using appropriate techniques (e.g., spray gun, brush, roller).
  • Mix and handle 2-pack paints safely, following manufacturer specifications and COSHH guidelines.
  • Monitor curing times and environmental conditions to ensure optimal finish quality.
  • Conduct visual inspections and thickness testing to meet quality standards.
  • Maintain painting equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
  • Assist in other production areas when required.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • NVQ/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience with 2-pack paint systems (epoxy/polyurethane).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with surface preparation and finishing standards.
  • Understanding of PPE and safe handling of hazardous materials.
