Designing alongside engine manufacturers
Thanks to our collaboration with engine manufacturers, we have produced many highly efficient bespoke designs for air charge coolers. Drawing on this experience, our knowledge of special materials and using our new finned tube, we continue to optimise our coolers. We strive to ensure they represent the best performing systems on the market along with exceptional value for money. Our designs can even be used in engines that burn special gas fuels such as biogas.
Innovations that improve reliability
Sterling Thermal Technology’s heat exchangers are widely used for traction cooling in diesel and electric systems. Our Elfin block radiators offer significant flexibility in terms of design and materials along with greatly improved thermal performance. Our latest designs further minimise downtime by reducing the chance of overheating and air side fouling.
Bringing innovations to existing equipment
As well as providing new bespoke heat transfer solutions, we can refurbish, upgrade, or uprate existing equipment. In that case, we would use new materials to significantly improve fuel consumption and extend service life. When possible, by utilising components from the original unit, we can return old equipment to an ‘as new’ condition, fully tested and certified for compliance.
