We’ve been designing and manufacturing heat exchangers for companies all over the world since 1904. Everything we produce is bespoke, no two projects are the same, which makes our work extremely interesting and rewarding. Our team, which is made up of some of the best engineering talent around, is at the forefront of the latest technology-driven innovations.

As industry leaders for over 100 years, we have exceptionally long-lasting relationships with many of our clients, who include Siemens, Rolls-Royce and EDF.

George who started as an apprentice at Sterling Thermal Technology

George Perry, Production Supervisor, who joined as an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer.

“Joining Sterling Thermal Technology as an apprentice gives you a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and first-hand experience within a manufacturing environment. There are lots of experienced people you can learn from here and they’re always keen to share their knowledge with you.” 

Kate who started as a graduate at Sterling Thermal Technology

Kate Fennell, Quality Engineer, who joined us as a graduate with a MEng Material Science & Engineering.

“You get to see jobs through from start to finish and our products end up all over the world. It’s nice to know you’ve worked on something that might end up in Australia. I’ve even worked on heat exchangers for submarines. It’s an exciting place to work, I’m looking forward to spending many more years here.”

Mason who started as a graduate at Sterling Thermal Technology

Mason Dhani-Ali, Mechanical and Technology Development Engineer who joined us as a graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

“We make the impossible possible. We work closely with our clients to understand their exact needs and then provide them with precisely the right solution. There aren’t many limits to what you can get involved in; I’m always encouraged to have a go.”

Jordan who started as an apprentice at Sterling Thermal Technology

Jordan Wright, Design Engineer, who joined us as an Apprentice Welder. He has an NVQ and BTEC in Welding.

“If you ask and are willing to learn, you are given the opportunity to try new things and grow your skills.
During my time here, I’ve worked in welding, project management, process engineering, production, and I’m currently in the design office. My varied experience means I get to help out across the business, which I enjoy.”

Jake who started as an apprentice at Sterling Thermal Technology

Jake Vincent, a Field Service Engineer. He joined us a Mechanical Fitting Apprentice and studied City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering and BTEC Advanced Engineering.
